Nothing is better than the weather getting warmer and the green reappearing back around town. You can\u2019t help but want to venture out and enjoy the wholesome Spring energy. Playing an RPG is always a great excuse for friends to get together, so we thought this week might be a great time to recommend some our favorite cozy RPGs that pair with the season! These RPGs range in theme, but all carry that fun lighthearted spirit that makes the cozy genre so enticing.<\/strong>

\nGame System: Belonging Outside Belonging engine<\/em><\/strong>
\nWanderhome\u00a0<\/em>is a pastoral fantasy role-playing game about traveling animal-folk, the world they inhabit, and the way the seasons change. It is a game filled with grassy fields, mossy shrines, herds of chubby bumblebees, opossums in sundresses, starry night skies, and storybook sunsets. Built on the Belonging Outside Belonging engine, Wanderhome offers an experience that is more RPG focused- that means no dice, no math, and no complicated rules. Even a GM is optional. \nGoblin Errands is a no-prep RPG for 2 to 4 goblins and one Tall Person (the GM). Together you’ll go on comical (mis)adventures trying to complete seemingly mundane tasks as you struggle with a world not designed for you. The world is your oyster on what kind of errands your little goblins will embark on, with a game system that just utilizes D20 & D6 rolls to determine the success of your group\u2019s collective brain cell. Whether you have sweet players who want to be silly while cultivating a community or have chaotic players that like going nuts- this is the perfect game to be tiny goofs.<\/p>\n

\nObojima is a leisure fantasy setting that is inspired by the works of Studio Ghibli and the Legend of Zelda. Explore an island full of whimsy, mystery, and possibility! Meet spirits, uncover the secrets of the ominous Corruption spreading across the island, and eat some good ramen. This book utilizes Dungeons & Dragon\u2019s 5E \/ 5.5E system and works as a setting to explore the eclectic island of Obojima.<\/p>\n

The gameplay focuses on how well you succeeded in any given scenario, instead of a pass or fail system, making it the perfect intro to roleplay games for those starting out.
