Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy Austin is happy to host our quarterly Store Championship for Wilds of Eldraine!
Our format for this tournament will be a competitive booster draft of Wilds of Eldraine. As this will be a more competitive event we will be charging players $20 for entry and the top 8 players will pay an additional $10 fee before the final draft begins to cover the cost of the draft packs.
As a draft event, players will play a standard draft being placed into 6-10 man pods depending on player numbers. The draft pods will do a 50 minute draft round followed by 3 45 minute standard swiss format timed rounds to determine winners. The top players of each pod will then advance to a top 8 where those players will again form a new draft pod and draft fresh packs and then compete in a elimination format until 1 player remains as the winner!
Prizing will be tiered based on the number of players.
All players will receive a pack of Wilds of Eldraine Draft Booster and a copy of the alternate art Tail Swipe for participation.
Players placing in the top 8 will each get a copy of the foil alternate art Transcendent Messenger
Top winner will get the alternate full art foil Moonshaker Cavalry card.
If we get 8 or fewer players, the fee will just be the $20 flat and prizes will be distributed accordingly.
For 8-16 Players:
Players going X-1 and not getting into top 8 will get 2 draft packs total
Players placing 4-8 will get 3 draft packs total
Players placing 3-4 will get 5 draft packs in total
2nd place will get 9 draft packs
1st place will get 18 draft packs
For 16-32 players:
Players going X-1 and not getting into top 8 will get 2 draft packs total
Players placing 4-8 will get 4 draft packs total
Players placing 3-4 will get 9 draft packs in total
2nd place will get 18 draft packs
1st place will get their choice of either a full box of Wilds of Eldraine Draft Boosters or Set Boosters.
