Prepare to embark on a fantastic journey far from home with Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy Austin. We are excited to host the latest MTG Universes beyond set: The Hobbit with a weekend full of events!
Each event offers the chance for players to experience the set together and compete in a 3 round swiss tournament for prizes. Friday and Saturday we are hosting “Sealed events” where each player will be given a Prerelease kit containing 6 booster packs and a promo. Players then make a 40 card deck from their contents of their kits and compete in a best-of-three, 3 round swiss tournament.
Sunday is sealed with a twist: Two headed Giant. This format is a 2v2 team event with special rules. You can find more about the formats at the links below:

All players who play in at least one round of the tournament will be given a play booster of The Hobbit as a thank you for joining in the fun. Anyone who gets two round wins during the event will be given an additional play booster of The Hobbit (Two packs total). Everyone who completes the event with an undefeated record of 3-0 will be awarded three total play boosters as well as a collector booster pack of The Hobbit.
Additionally, we will be giving away $20 vouchers to the store at the end of the 2nd round of each event.
Online event registrations are not eligible for refunds. Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® is not responsible for any issues that occur after players register for events. All events sales are final at time of purchase.
