Magic the Gathering is kicking off 2023 with something truly special – a remastered set that reaches across the breadth of MtG history and will give players a hard hit of nostalgia. It includes cards from 27 sets across 30 years of gameplay that took place on Dominaria. Here are some of the key features you can look forward to!
Retro Frames: Each draft booster is guaranteed to contain one retro frame basic land. There are 150 retro frame cards in Dominaria Remastered: 24 commons, 36 uncommons, 60 rares, 20 mythic rares, and 10 basic lands and will be printed in both non-foil and foil versions.
Borderless Cards: Draft boosters will contain 0-3 borderless cards, while Collector boosters feature anywhere from 1-5. There are 45 borderless cards in Dominaria Remastered: 1 common, 4 uncommons, 23 rares, and 17 mythic rares. These cards will feature new artwork on fan-favorite cards from throughout Magic's history, and will be printed in both non-foil and foil versions.
Lairs: You know we had to add this to our list! Allied triple lands have the subtype Lair and must be sacrificed when they enter the battlefield unless the player returns a non-Lair land to their hand.
Although Dominaria Remastered won't feature any new mechanics, there will be a bunch of popular ones employed such as such as Threshold, Landfall, Madness, Cycling, Echo, Vanishing, Flanking, and Cumulative Upkeep.
