Gabriela Epstein is a name you may not be familiar with, but be prepared to hear it more often! This local Austinite is a writer and artist who is fairly new on the comics scene but is already beginning to make a splash in the middle school/YA genre.
Gabriela’s illustration style is distinct, and reminiscent of the type of art you would see on Cartoon Network or animated Disney shows such as the Power Puff Girls and Kim Possible. It is perfectly suited for the target audience, but can be appreciated and enjoyed by all ages.
Only a couple years into the game, she has already illustrated the graphic novels Invisible and The Babysitter’s Club: Claudia and the New Girl. This week we are proud to host Gabriela in-store for a signing/meet and greet on Thursday March 3rd at 11am to celebrate the most recently released Babysitters Club graphic novel Good-bye Stacey, Good-bye.
