While You Wait

May 7, 2020

Alongside a slew of other delays, some movies we were looking forward to this year have been postponed, including Black Widow, and Wonder Woman 1984. The good news? You can fill that gap now by reading up on these characters!

Black Widow was a blow as we were really looking forward to the first female focused superhero film from Marvel. However, there are some truly fantastic Black Widow graphic novels that you can take this time to read and familiarize yourself more intimately with this character.

Black Widow: Deadly Origin – In this storyline, a ghost from Natalia's tumultuous past rears it's head to threaten all she holds dear.

Black Widow: The Name of the Rose – After Natalia is severely injured (and nearly killed) she sets out to find her attacker.

Black Widow: The Finely Woven Thread– As she seeks atonement for her lost years as a KGB assassin, Black Widow delves into her buried history sans Avengers as she goes undercover in Russia to unravel her past.

Wonder Woman 1984 is a sequel to the 2017 Wonder Woman release and will feature Wonder Woman's famous counterpart, Barbara Ann Minerva aka Cheetah. Here are a couple of our favorite comic stories featuring their historic rivalry!

Wonder Woman Vol 1: The Lies & Vol 3: The Truth – Wonder Woman goes back to her roots in order to explore her origins, and teams up with her famous feral frenemy along the way.

Forever Evil A.R.G.U.S: Part of the Forever Evil crossover series, this story shows Cheetah and other animal villains clashing with Steve Trevor, after Cheetah comes to possess Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth.

Call ahead for pick-up or come on by to check out all the comics we have featuring these iconic heroines! The upcoming Black Widow Marvel Studios film is now set to release on November 6th, and Wonder Woman 1984 is due out on August 14th!
