ENNIES 2025

August 8, 2025

As every year, the ENNIE Awards Ceremony was held at GenCon last week, and the winners included familiar names as well as a few new ones.

The ENNIE Awards are fan-voted recognition for excellence in tabletop roleplaying games, with categories ranging from Best Layout, to Best Monster/Antagonist, to Best Rules. It’s a big deal, not just celebrating the industry, but also bringing recognition to the most talented, creative, and innovative talents.

Chaosium is no stranger to victory at the ENNIEs, this year taking a Silver in Best Cartography with their Map of King Arthur’s Britain for their Pendragon RPG. They took both Gold and Silver in Best Setting, Cthulhu Ireland for the Gold and Silver for Dragon Pass, a famous location in their mythic Bronze Age RPG RuneQuest.

Free League also cleaned up this year. Not only did they get Fan Favorite Publisher, but their Moria book for The One Ring RPG claimed a Silver for Best Supplement, Gold for Best Cartography, and the Gold for Product of the Year. If you haven’t checked out their book on adventuring in Khazad-dûm, you owe it to yourself to learn about this amazing adventure location large enough to encompass multiple campaigns.

Other winners included Mythic Bastionland, claiming Silver for Product of the year and Gold for Best Interior Art and Best Layout and Design. Land of Eem won Gold for Best Family Game of the Year, and the Bestiary took home the Gold for Best Monster/Adversary. Roll & Play Press and Venatus Map’s The Map Library won Gold for Best Aid/Accessory, with the GM’s screen for the Monty Python RPG claiming the Silver.

You can see the full list of winners here. If you want to know more about these products and claim any for your own, talk to the RPG experts at your local Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® today.

All Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® locations are independently owned and operated by local folks. Not all stores will carry all games but will be willing to attempt to special order any that they do not carry. (And they’ll carry most.)
