This Saturday, May 5th, is Free Comic Book Day! What’s Free Comic Book Day? It’s a day where the comic book industry gives back to its fans by giving away free comic books. And your local Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® will be right in the thick of things.
Swing by the store to pick up free comics ranging from superhero classics like The Avengers, manga like Ghost in the Shell and The Legend of Korra, and the return of beloved books like Strangers in Paradise. Keep in mind that there are limited quantities of each book and it’s first-come-first-served, so if there’s something you really want to see, be sure to show up early.
Each local Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® will be celebrating in their own way. Austin will have a bouncy castle for the kids and free snow cones as well as cosplayers and artists like Robert Navarro and Tracey Watkins. San Antonio Medical Center will have artists like John Picacio (almost certainly with some of his amazing Lotería art) and Alfredo Lopez Jr. (with an exclusive, limited run of signed and numbered prints made just for Free Comic Book Day).
