June 17th is Free RPG Day! A whole day dedicated to all the goodness that is RPGs. Head over to your local Dragon’s Lair Comics and Fantasy® for the chance to meet other gamers, roll some dice, and pick up free RPG swag.
As usual, there will be a wide array of offerings. Most participating companies are offering you a taste of their games through quickstart rules and adventures. If you’ve been curious about Numenera and the new Conan RPG from Modiphius Entertainment, or just want a to see what old-school gaming from Dungeon Crawl Classics or Runequest is like, this Saturday is a chance to try before you buy. We’ll also be getting peeks at highly anticipated upcoming games like Paizo’s science-fantasy Starfinder and the new version of the old cross-dimensional RPG Torg.
It’s first-come-first-served and while-supplies-last, just like with Free Comic Book Day. So be sure to show up early, both to get the choicest goodies and a chance to play some games.
