GLC or Gym leader challenge is a singleton format that is similar to the commander format in magic the gathering. Players are only able to use one of each card except for basic energy and are limited to a single type of pokemon ie Psychic, grass, fighting, etc.
Prize support will be the most recent set or the combination of the most recent sets depending on availibility.
